26 miles, 23 of which done with wet feet. It was the only hike of
the year where I had any foot problems. The wet feet thing was my
own laziness -- rather than put on my Tivas (which I brought
expressly for the purpose of fording streams!), I thought it
would be easier to just hop across a small stream, just beyond
Crow Pass. Lesson learned : 5 minutes to change into proper gear
is well worth it!
Anyways, here is Crow Pass itself. The hike starts out with a
not-too-steep climb of about 2,000 feet and is mostly downhill
for the next 23 miles.
